Big Creek

Exit 451 on Interstate 40 on the North Carolina - Tennessee border. Follow the signs to  the Big Creek ranger station, approximately 2.5 miles. Park at the Ranger Station parking lot, the Chestnut Branch Trail begins here. The campground is one mile past the ranger station.

Cosby 

Exit 440 on Interstate 40 in Tennessee, take the foothills Parkway approximately 6 miles until it dead-ends at Rt. 321. Turn left on 321 and drive a few miles to Cosby. At the intersection in Cosby where 321 turns right, continue straight and follow the signs to the Cosby campground.
